Hi, I'm Tom, a qualified CBT therapist who is passionate about helping people improve their mental health.

I take a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to therapy, creating a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.

My aim is to empower my clients to develop the skills and confidence they need to maintain their mental well-being over the long term.

I’m a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means I work within its ethical guidelines and professional standards.

The modality, or type of therapy which I practice is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). There is a strong evidence base for CBT particularly in the treatment of depression, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD and OCD.

CBT is a type of talk therapy that helps people identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. Ideally the goal of CBT is to teach clients practical strategies by challenging and reframing negative thoughts and developing new coping skills.

There is a particular emphasis on the therapy being as collaborative as possible between the client and therapist. Between sessions, clients are often encouraged to practice the skills they develop during therapy sessions.

£0 per session
(50 minutes).

It can be daunting deciding to undertake therapy. Finding the right therapist for you can play a really important part of the therapy process. As such our first consultation is free and I’m happy to answer any questions you may have over the phone or via email.

After an initial consultation, the next step would be an initial appointment priced at £35, to discuss your presenting issues and give the chance to reflect on whether you’d like to continue.

My Approach to Therapy

My therapeutic style is centered on providing a safe space where anyone can explore their difficulties without fear of judgment. I believe that self-compassion is a crucial element in the healing process, and my goal is to help clients cultivate a kind and accepting attitude towards themselves.

Using evidence-based techniques, I work collaboratively with my clients to help them overcome their challenges and achieve their goals.

Whether you're struggling with depression, anxiety, or other challenges, I'm here to support you with empathy and understanding.

I work with anyone who needs it, and my approach is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to mental health support, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Whilst my therapeutic practice is grounded in CBT, I like to integrate a person-centred approach into my methodology.

CBT is usually time sensitive, however, I’m happy to work with clients over a longer term basis if they feel they need it.
